M.A.V Customs has been created by a former Senior Customs Compliance Officer for HMRC, working as a specialist for a decade in Customs and International Trade. This includes experience in retail, defence, fire safety/manufacturing, fashion and other business areas.
Many businesses have chosen to outsource overseeing of their Customs Management due to the lack of technical experience in this area. Our ability to provide expert support for this tax is a way to improve compliance, and provide peace of mind to businesses looking for bespoke assistance - be that virtual, or face to face.
Since Brexit, Customs duty and the complexities around imports and exports has increased. Customs duty does not have a recovery mechanism in comparison to VAT, so it is important to consider this when looking at profits and margins for products.
